Rindon Johnson ist Künstler und Schriftsteller.

Sein jüngster Virtual-Reality-Film, Meat Growers: A Love Story, wurde von Rhizome (New York) und Tentacular (Madrid) in Auftrag gegeben.

Er hat in ganz Europa, den USA und Asien ausgestellt und gelesen. Er ist Autor von Nobody Sleeps Better Than White People (Inpatient Press, 2016), dem Virtual-Reality-Buch Meet in the Corner (Publishing-House.Me, 2017) und zuletzt Shade the King (Capricious, 2017).

Johnsons Schreiben wurde unter anderem von Artforum, Cultured, ICA Miami, The New Museum und Rhizome veröffentlicht. Johnson trat unter anderem bei Artists Space (New York), MoMA PS1 (Queens, New York), Human Resources (Los Angeles) und The Poetry Project (New York) auf.

Er lebt in Berlin und ist Associate Fellow an der Universität der Künste Berlin, Zentrum für fortgeschrittene Studien in Kunst und Wissenschaft und studiert Medienkunst und virtuelle Realität . Er arbeitet an Essays über VR, Klimakrise und Entkolonialisierung: Vielfältiges Selbst: Alternative Seinszustände.

Rindon Johnson is an artist and writer.

His most recent virtual reality film, Meat Growers: A Love Story, was commissioned by Rhizome (New York) and Tentacular (Madrid).

He has exhibited and read widely throughout Europe, the US and Asia. He is the author of Nobody Sleeps Better Than White People (Inpatient Press, 2016), the virtual reality book, Meet in the Corner (Publishing-House.Me, 2017) and most recently, Shade the King (Capricious, 2017).

Johnson’s writing has been published by Artforum, Cultured, ICA Miami, The New Museum and Rhizome - among others. Johnson has performed at Artists Space (New York), MoMA PS1 (Queens, New York), Human Resources (Los Angeles) and The Poetry Project (New York), among others.

He lives in Berlin and is an Associate Fellow at the Universität der Künste Berlin, Centre for Advanced Studies in Arts and Sciences studying Media Art and Virtual Reality. He is working towards a book of essays on VR, the climate crisis and decolonization: Manifold Self: Alternative States of Being.
